History

| I
was born in 1971 (work my age out) in Nuneaton and have lived
here ever since. I grew up in the 70's and 80's which kind of
moulded me into who i am. I skateboarded and BMX'd my way through
my childhood and early adolescence, whilst also going computer
mad (Binatone master system, ZX81, ZX Spectrum, Acorn Electron,
Amiga 600) and also getting interested in electronics. Then i
discovered the pub and music in 1987. I dropped all extreme sports
& computing, got pissed and went to as many music festivals
as possible (whilst indulging in the activities that go with them).
Around 1991 i got into clubbing, dance music and all nighters.
About this time i started growing dreadlocks (i'm a white guy)'.
In 1992 i finished college with an ONC & HNC in electrical/electronic
engineering. I found i was missing the extreme sports buzz but
skateboarding and bmx'ing seemed too kiddie, so me and a mate
took up snowboarding in 1996. The snowboarding and dreadlocks
got me my nickname SnowBum. I got an old PC off my mum in 1998
and it sparked off my computing obsession again. In 1998 i met
Bev, the best thing to ever happen to me. I shaved off my dreads
in 1999 for a job (wish i never did, i miss them). We also had
our first kid and two more quickly followed. In 2002 KOS Fury
got me playing TFD and then i got into BHD. I got married to Bev
on 27/11/04. I still snowboard and get all silly when it snows.
I have been know to snowboard down the big hill outside our house,
much to the bemusment of local drivers. |
